Conversion to a synthetic full sized senior football ground. Includes an overlay line marking of two juniors grounds and three 5 on 5 mini grounds.

This has been funded through State Government Growing Suburbs Funding jointly with Councils Capital Works funding.

The goal of this project is to increase participation as Esther Park is a heavily utilised sports ground and this will enable maximum utilisation for the community.

Th park is home to Mooroolbark Soccer Club, hosting 22 teams across an expanding junior (214 players) and senior program (118 players).

The club has experienced a 26% total growth rate in the last four seasons (2015-18). Female participation increased by 82% and the clubs junior program (miniroos and junior teams) increased by 22% during this period. Other users of the park include a local Burmese Chin Community group who informally utilise the existing soccer pitches all year round, as well as other local residents on a causal basis.

Council is committed to ensuring the residents of the municipality are provided with opportunities to enhance their health and wellbeing through the provision of community facilities that can be used for active recreation and community sport.
