Make a general submission to Council

To make a submission at a Council Meeting regarding an item that is not listed under ‘Business Papers’ on the agenda, please contact Governance on 1300 368 333.

Submissions about matters already considered by Council or operational matters will not be considered. 

The speakers name and topic of submission to be made at a particular Council Meeting, must be listed on the Agenda for that meeting under ‘Questions and Submissions from the Public’ to be heard.

You must provide your contact details and information about your submission to Governance at least 11 days before the Council Meeting you want to speak at.

You can present material to support your submission such as images, plans, or documents.

Please provide a copy of any electronic material to us by 12pm on the day of the meeting so we can make sure it is compatible with our computer system.

Each submission has a total of 5 minutes to present with time allowed after the presentation for the Councillors to ask the speaker relevant questions.
