Compare your current photocopy/printer paper usage with your baseline data. Collect all of your photocopy/printer paper invoices and record the amount of usage and cost for the year(s). This might just be your plain paper or might include all photocopy paper.

Compare the recycled content of the paper purchased for the year(s) with your baseline data.

Complete a 2nd materials and litter audit of your school to record the amount of waste and recycled materials and litter generated by the school for the year.  Compare the materials and litter audit data, as well as the cost associated for you school's recycling and waste removal, with your baseline data to see where improvements have been achieved.

Complete an audit of your schools purchasing policy and note the successes and failures of the process. Document what and how many sustainable products are being purchased across your whole school.

Based on your new photocopy/printer paper audit and the baseline data set new reduction targets.

Based on your new materials and litter audit and the baseline data set increased reduction targets for waste going to landfill and increased targets for recycling.

During the process so far have you kept the students and school community informed? Have students, as part of the curriculum, assisted with collecting the data? Are there any other ways you have engaged students in the program so far?
