Contractor Safety Information & Requirements

We have a moral and legal responsibility under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 to provide and maintain a work environment that is safe and healthy for all employees, contractors, customers, visitors and the public.

All contractors working for Yarra Ranges Council must provide details of how they meet the safety criteria to ensure we maintain a high level of safety.
The criteria set by coucil ensures that contractors:

• are appropriately qualified, trained and experienced to perform the works; and
• have an appropriate management system to manage the Safety component of the works efficiently.
