Yarra Ranges is home to a diverse range of festivals and events that showcase, and help contribute to, the regions unique features. These events are organised by many different groups including businesses, not for profit organisations and community groups.

"Before You Start" will give you some idea of what is in store for you when putting together a festival or event.
When you are ready to start planning your event:
- Fill out the registration form and submit. This will let us know that your event is likely to happen and helps us to advise of any conflicting events.
- List all the components of your event, and develop timelines.
- Fill out the Event Management plan as you move through the planning process, using the template provided under 'Planning Your Event'.
- Submit the plan to Councils Festival & Events Liaison officer at least 2 weeks before event. You will be advised of acceptance or recommended changes.
