Common Name: Grass Trigger-plant
Synonym: Stylidium graminifolium var. angustifolium
Family: Stylidiaceae
Size: 20-75cm x 20-30cm
Description: Tufted perennial herb.
Leaves: Erect bluish, grass-like leaves 14-20cm x 1-3mm, margins minutely serrated.
Flowering: Flowering stem to 75cm high, becoming more glandular hairy from base to tip. Terminal spike of 10-25 flowers. 8 throat appendages, 2 less prominent.
Flower Colour: Pale pink to deep lilac
Flowering Time: August to November
Growing Conditions: Gravelly, well drained soils in woodlands, heaths and open forests of the foothills. Frost tolerant. Full sun, semi shade.
Garden Use: Beautiful tufting plant for small gardens, rockeries, cottage gardens and containers. Looks good planted in drifts in the garden or a bush area.
