Common Name: Swamp Mazus
Synonym:
Family: Scropulariaceae
Size: 3cm x 0.5-1m
Description: Perennial herb suckering to form dense mats.
Leaves: Rosette of glossy spoon-shaped leaves 0.8-5.5cm x 2.5-18mm, paler below, margins toothed and wavy.
Flowering: 1-4 (usually 1) 2-lipped flowers with 2 white humps on lower lip, held erect on stalks 1-14cm long.
Flower Colour: Mauve or white
Flowering Time: September to April
Growing Conditions: Moist to wet soils in or around swamp margins. Full sun to full shade.
Garden Use: Attractive carpeting plant for moist areas, flowering over a long period.

Conservation Status: Significant within the Shire. Locally common, but occurring in a limited number of sites within the Shire.
