Fortnightly Garden Organics Bin Collection
As well as the usual waste and recycling collection, there is also an optional fortnightly garden organics collection. This service is available to properties in the service area only (urban areas, townships and the Dandenong Ranges) and there is an additional yearly charge.
How much is the green organics collection?
It depends on what size bin you choose. There are two options: 120 litre or 240 litre bin

How can I get a garden organics bin?
Easy, call us on 1300 368 333 or visit a Community Link to determine if you are within the collection area for this service.
What can I put in the bin?
- grass clippings
- weeds
- flowers
- garden prunings (including rose clippings)
- leaves and bark
- small branches (max length 300mm, max diameter 100mm)
What can't go in the bin?
- plastic bags
- recyclables
- garbage
- nappies
- string, twine or wire
- Food or animal waste
- syringes
- soil, stones, bricks or concrete
- motor oil or motor oil containers
- hazardous or chemical waste
- stumps, large branches, timber or garden stakes.
When will it be collected?
The organics bin is emptied on the alternate week to your recycling collection.
