Outer Eastern Community Inclusion Alliance

The Outer Eastern Community Inclusion Alliance (OECIA) meets every month and is open to anyone with an interest in working towards the greater inclusion of people with disabilities in local & community life.  All members have the opportunity to contribute to project ideas and implementation.

OECIA has been meeting since July 2005, and has successfully completed projects, such as the Yarra Ranges Explained Bus Tour in 2010, that help to build the capacity of our communities to better include people with disabilities in everyday, community life. In 2012, we will be working towards finding new ways of ensuring that people with disabilities are best supported to be part of their communities, as well as inviting a range of speakers and trainers that can help us stretch our thinking about what might be possible in community inclusion.

Meeting Time & Place:

Wednesdays, between 10am and 11.30am in room LD118 at Swinburne Lilydale. Swinburne Lilydale is located on Melba Avenue in Lilydale, just behind Lilydale High School.
