Special Payment Arrangements

If you are having difficulty paying your rates you may make a special payment arrangement at anytime. You can put your request in writing or contact any Community Link to make arrangements.

We will help you work out an arrangement that best suits but also covers the annual rate charge and any interest incurred.

Please note that payments will be monitored and legal action taken to recover the debt  if you don't keep to the arrangement.

Deferment of Rates

If you are experiencing extreme financial hardship you may be eligible to stop further interest and defer paying your rates. Download and complete the Deferment of Rates form on this page and return it to any of our Community Links or post to:

If your application is approved no interest will be charged from the date of the application and no legal action will be taken to recover the debt. After 12 months your situation will be reviewed. It is suggested that some form of regular payment continues through the hardship period if financially possible.

Please note this is not intended to be an ongoing benefit but an opportunity for you to reassess your finances.
