How to pay your rates
You can pay your rates in a number of ways:
Annually
You can pay your rates in a lump sum on or before February 15, 2013.
Instalments
Your rates can be paid by four instalments each year.
The instalments must be paid on or before:
- First instalment September 30, 2012
- Second instalment November 30, 2012
- Third instalment February 28, 2013
- Fourth instalment May 31, 2013
To choose this payment option you must have paid the first instalment by September 30, 2012. Reminders will be sent for the remaining instalments.
Any payments received after the starting date for this option will be processed as part of the annual payment due on February 15, 2013.
Monthly instalments
Nine monthly instalments can be paid on or before the last working day of each month beginning on September 30, 2012 and concluding on May 31, 2013.
To choose this payment option you must have paid the first instalment by September 30, 2012.
Prior to the second instalment due date a notice containing the remaining eight monthly payment vouchers will be sent but no further reminders will be sent. If two payments are missed, the balance will need to be paid in full by 15 February, 2013
Any payments received after the starting date for this option will be processed as part of the annual payment due on February 15, 2013.
Online
Use the link on this page to pay your rates with Visa or MasterCard using our secure online payment system.
Direct Debit
You can apply to have your rates payments direct debited from your nominated financial account by completing a direct debit application form and sending it to Yarra Ranges Council, PO Box 105, Lilydale 3140. You can download the form from this page.
Post Billpay
You can pay your rates using Post Billpay 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

BPAY
Your financial institution can tell you if you have access to BPAY.
You can use BPAY either online or phone banking.

Community Links
You can pay your rates at any Yarra Ranges Community Link using cash, cheque or EFTPOS including Visa and MasterCard.
Mail
Make your cheque payable to 'Shire of Yarra Ranges' and cross 'not negotiable'. Detach the credit slip from the rate notice and mail it with your cheque to:

Please don't staple cheques to the credit slip when returning payment.
