Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008

The Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 include registration requirements for accommodation businesses such as:

• bed & breakfast, guest house or farmstay
• hotel or motel
• rooming house
• caravan park
• hostel
• resort or lodge 
• student dormitory or holiday camp

Exemptions

Registration requirements may be determined by:

• Maximum number of guests

If your accommodation business is also providing food you may require to register as a food premises.  This depends on:

• Type of food
• Preparation
