The Yarra Ranges Planning Scheme regulates the use and development of land within  Yarra Ranges. The Planning Scheme specifies what types of  development require a planning permit.

All applications currently being advertised for public comment are available at the Lilydale Community Link. If the application relates to land outside of the urban area you can also find a copy of the application at the nearest Community Link. Simply read the public notice (either the sign on the site or the notice you received in the mail) and it will tell you where you can review the application.

Other Approvals

A planning permits allows you to use or develop land but it is important to remember it is highly likely you will need other approvals, such as a building permit, before you start work. Please read Other Approvals Planning Advice note for more information.
