Embrace Out Street - Yarra Glen Revitalisation

The Yarra Glen community is invited to contribute their ideas and aspirations for a streetscape project in their township.

Yarra Ranges Council is working in partnership with the Village Well team on a series of community engagement activities to help us better understand the unique story that is Yarra Glen – your community.

We look forward to working with Yarra Glen community members to translate their ideas into a series of streetscape projects that will enhance and strengthen the identity of the town.

The projects will be delivered through funding already allocated in Council’s Capital Works program. Other community initiatives and external funding opportunities may also be identified as part of the consultation process.

Project objectives:

• Create a place story and identity for Yarra Glen which is shared by both Council and the community
• Translate this place story into projects and priorities which support the shared vision
• Create an implementation plan detailing the projects established by the community through the consultation process
• Inspire and empower the community to further their involvement in the town and within the project
• Engender support from the State Government to lobby for further funding of the projects
