Learning for Sustainability program

The Learning for Sustainability program aims to help schools gain a stronger understanding of their ecological footprint , how they use resources, but most of all how students, staff and members of the broader school community can make a difference working towards a more sustainable future. The Learning for Sustainability program (LfS) has been developed to support local schools to incorporate sustainability practices and principals into the curriculum, school grounds and broader school community.

The Learning for Sustainability program provides schools with a clear framework with supporting resources to assist you incorporating sustainability into your school. The Learning for Sustainability Officers are available to come out to your school to provide support and advice how to best start or progress your sustainability journey and to engage your students, staff and broader school community.
Earthkeepers
Earthkeepers is a complete earth education program designed to help 10-12 year olds develop the understandings and feelings they will need to live in harmony with the earth. The program captivates its young participants with mystery, adventure and discovery, and provides them with the skills to reassess and improve their own environmental habits. This is the perfect program for teachers and group leaders who are committed to giving young people a solid grounding in ecological principles and inspiring them to take action for the earth and all life.
HabitAT school census
The HabitAT School Census is a school resource to assist students and teachers to investigate the habitat quality of their school grounds and neighbourhood. The census has been developed to compliment and support the annual HabitAT School Awards and to assist schools in completing parts of their Biodiversity Module of the Learning for Sustainability schools program.
