Cat curfew

We have a 24 hour cat curfew. As a result residents must keep their cats within their property boundary at all times. They are free to be in your front or back yard, inside or in a cat enclosure as advised by the Department of animal welfare.

We are working with residents to deal with cats on a complaint basis. Please see the Cat Curfew Fact Sheet (PDF, 413KB)  for more information on the Cat Curfew.

If you are having a problem with a local cat we encourage you to speak with its owner first, before contacting our Local Laws Department on 1300 368 333 to organise a cat trap.
