The Shire of Yarra Ranges Civic Art Collection has been drawn from a range of sources, most notably the collections of the four amalgamated Shires which formed the new municipality, comprising a total of 254 objects. These include:

 | Civic memorabilia, photographs & artefacts (30%) | | Artworks - paintings, prints, some craft works (50%) | | Other ephemera - framed (non-artistic) photographs, posters, certificates, etc (20%) | | Public art - sculptures, murals, etc

| The collection is displayed at the Shire offices in Lilydale as well as at Yarra Ranges Community Links.
The Collection is yet to be valued.
Council also has responsibility for two other collections namely:
