Have your say on Monbulk Streetscape
Media Release Date:18 April 2012
Monbulk residents and businesses can check out draft plans for township improvements now on display.
Yarra Ranges Mayor Graham Warren said the plans were the result of an extensive consultation with the community and local groups.
“We revised the plans from the initial concept after community discussion and we are keen to hear what people think,” he said.
Cr Warren said council was also interested in hearing what residents thought should be priorities.
“The plans outline an overall design for a section of the town from which we will then be able to schedule works,” he said.
Council had already allocated $300,000 this financial year to begin some of the work, depending on priorities identified with the community.
The plans are available in shops, the Monbulk Living and Learning Centre and online at http://www.yarraranges.vic.gov.au/Residents/Major_Projects_Urban_Design/Monbulk_Streetscape until Tuesday 1 May.
Submissions can be made to Stacey Robinson from Council’s Urban Design team via email at u.design@yarraranges.vic.gov.au. Inquiries can be made to 1300 368 333.
