Planning & Community Compliance

Planning and Community Compliance are responsible for the majority of Council's regulatory services. This includes Planning Services, both strategic and statutory, Building Services, provision of a range of local services including Local Laws and Environmental & Planning Compliance and Public Health Services and administration.
Corporate Services
Wayne Jack - Director 9294 6454
Corporate Services provides support and coordinates services relating to the internal functions and activities of the organisation. The group comprises Information Technology Services, Corporate Finance, Customer Service, Governance, People & Performance and Risk, Emergency & Community Safety. It also carries out its corporate governance role by overseeing statutory regulations and procedures and Freedom of Information. Frontline customer service is also provided through the call centre and five Community Links.
Social & Economic Development

Social & Economic Development comprises Home & Community Support; Family, Youth & Children's Services; Economic & Community Development; Arts, Culture & Heritage. Home & Community Support offers home and centre-based services for frail aged and people with disabilities, their families and carers. Family, Youth & Children's Services provide services and support for children, young people and families. The Directorate undertakes planning for the provision of a broad range of facilities including cultural centres, community service facilities, libraries and open space.
Social & Economic Development also undertakes responsibility for the provision of Emergency Recovery services both during and after any emergencies.
Environment & Engineering

Environment & Engineering comprises Parks & Facilities, Civil Development Services, Capital Works & Urban Planning, Environment and Infrastructure Services. Parks & Facilities is responsible for footpaths, open spaces and parks.
It also manages the Council's waste management and recycling. Infrastructure Services is responsible for the management and maintenance of the majority of Council's roads. Civil Development Services is responsible for traffic engineering and manages the delivery of the majority of Council’s capital works program.
Capital Works & Urban Planning is responsible for the delivery of major Council building projects, building maintenance, urban design, fleet operations, asset management and the preparation and monitoring of the capital works program.
Environment is responsible for the development of strategies and the delivery of programs for the protection and enhancement of natural assets within the municipality.
