Scaregun Control Local Law 2002

The objectives of this local law are to:

• promote a physical and social environment free from hazards to health in which you can enjoy a quality of life that meets the general expectations of the community
• protect and promote amenity within the Yarra Ranges
• regulate and control the use of scareguns within the Yarra Ranges in a manner that prevents their use being detrimental to the environment or to the quality of lilfe
• provide the peace, order and good governance of the Council.

An amendment to the Scaregun Control Local Law to regulate the use of electronic bird deterrents is currently being considered, click here for Council's resolution.
