Health Registrations
There are a range of businesses required to be registered under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act, including:
| Beauty parlours |
Piercing (ear, face and/or body) |
| Body waxing |
Tattooists |
| Colonic irrigation |
Dry Needling |
| Hairdressers |
Tourist accommodation |
| Nail treatment |
|
These businesses are inspected by Environmental Health Officers to make sure they comply with the relevant regulations and standards of practice. There are also a number of compliance issues and health standards to consider if you are running a personal care business.

Exemptions
Businesses that do not require council registration:
- Solariums, Saunas, Floatation Tanks, Gymnasiums
